Who said that playing video games for hours is just a waste of time? Apparently for one gamer boy Saahil Arora, video gaming helped him rake millions of dollars.

Arora along with Pakistani teenager Samuel Hassan was part of a five member team called Evil Geniuses that won the top prize at Valve’s eSports competition ‘The International’. In Pakistan, Hassan even had to sell his bicycle to play DotA, a sacrifice that seems to have paid off well, reports Unilad.

The Evil Geniuses managed to beat 18 other teams from around the globe in playing the popular eSports game DotA 2 at the Key Arena in Seattle. The prize money is crowd funded by Valve, which is the company that develops the game DotA. Initially facing tough competition from CDEC gaming, which beat them easily in the group stages, Evil Geniuses finally emerged as winners when they beat them 3-1 in the grand finals.
