Nawazuddin and Radhika visit Gehlaur, pay tribute to Dashrath Manjhi
The two along with director Ketan Mehta interacted with Manjhi's family
Mumbai: The star cast of 'Manjhi- The Mountain Man'- Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte with director Ketan Mehta visited Gehlaur. It is the place where Dashrath Manjhi resided and carved a path through a mountain using only a hammer and chisel. The team interacted with Dashrath's family and even paid a tribute to him.
The film, set to be released on August 21, is based on the life story of Manjhi, a labourer living in Gehlaur village of Bihar, single-handedly built a road through a hill so that the locals could have faster access to nearby hospital. His wife had died because of lack of timely medical help.
The trailer of the film looks very powerful and may be another feather in Nawaz’s cap, much like 'Badlapur' and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', where he was a show stealer.
