Wedding party featuring weed bar leaves guests impressed
However liquor was not served at the venue because of state laws
Oregon couple John Elledge and Whitney Alexander decided to do something special for their guests at their wedding. Instead of arranging the usual open liquor bar, they set up a weed tent for attendees to enjoy.
Elledge, who is a professional cannabis cultivator, married his fiancée on 8th August at a Christmas tree farm in West Linn, Oregon. As the event was held on private property, the weed tent was totally legal.
“We were shocked by how much people loved it. I'm still getting a couple of texts a day from guests who enjoyed the weed tent,” Elledge was quoted by local news outlet KGW.

The weed bar offered 13 hand-picked varietals, which were supplied by Elledge. However, they were limited to just 8-ounces of pot total because of state law. The recent pot laws in the state of Oregon prohibit serving liquor at an event where marijuana is also being served. So, the couple did not serve alcoholic drinks to guests.
Smoking weed at weddings could be a growing trend in several American states where cannabis is legal.
