Rudhramadevi frenzy begins

Adilabad: Rudramma Ratham from the movie Rudhramadevi has generated curiosity among the people of the Telangana as it is the first movie shot at Kuntala waterfall in Adilabad. Also the subject of the movie is Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau in 13th century. The tag line of the movie is The Warrior Queen. Rani Rudrama Devi was one of the few ruling queens in Indian history.

The film was shot at Kuntala waterfall for many days with the film unit including actor Anushka and Rana Daggupati playing lead roles in and directed by  Gunashekhar in November, 2013.

Rudramma Ratham is touring Telangana districts with a gigantic photograph of Rudrama Devi on it. Frenzied people are taking photographs of Rudramma Ratham and also selfie all along the tour. Actors Allu Arjun and Krishnam Raju and Prakash Raj also play important roles in the movie.

The director Gunase-khar has launched the movie’s rath yatra for publicity and touring the places where the movie is going to be released in the first week of October.

The publicity has generated curiosity among the people as the subject of the movie is historical and taught as a lesson in their school days in the past. The movie is said to be next big budget movie after Baahubali made by the Rajamouli.

K. Rajasekhar of Khanapur who took a selfie with Rudramma Ratham on its arrival to the town said they were eagerly waiting for the release of the movie as it was a historical subject related to Telangana region. He observed that it was the first big budget movie which was made on the subject of Telangana.
