Aparna Reddy’s home in Banjara Hills is a sea of white. The 6,000 sft duplex boasts of space, well lit interiors and simplicity. Aparna lives here with her children Kishan and Isha. The interior design has even been nominated for a national-level award at the Festival of architecture and interior design.

While the formal living room at the entrance is done up in white and blue, one will be really impressed further on. The living space is in a spacious hall along with the dining area. A huge glass window opens up to the balcony and a sit out. “We left everything on interior designer Niroop Reddy. Although we wanted white everywhere, we weren’t too sure about it initially. But once the furniture was bought, we loved the look,” says Kishan.

For their home, two separate flats have been converted into one. Talking about it, Niroop says, “They bought two flats and we decided to turn it into a duplex. That’s why we created a staircase and tried to  highlight the space. We created a water body near the staircase. A part of the staircase is made of teak marble which is marble but resembles wood.”

Another thing that stands out is the intelligent use of lights, be it the chandeliers or the lights which also act as artefacts.
