Shocking photos show polar bears starving due to climate change
It could be because if increasingly reduced ice coverage as a result of global warming
A photographer has revealed to the world just how scary climate change can be by capturing unsettling photos of emaciated polar bears in the Arctic region.
Kerstin Langenberger was on a recent shoot in Svalbard, north of mainland Norway, when she noticed something very unusual – a really skinny polar bear. She explained that because female polar bears gave birth on land, where climate change has increasingly reduced the ice coverage, they cannot find food that easily which eventually makes them weaker and weaker, reports the weather.com.
However, Steven Armstrup, chief scientist at Polar Bears International, added that there could be other reasons for the animal to look so weak.
