We earlier broke the news that Kamal Haasan would be endorsing a textile brand for the first time in his career spanning more than five decades. Reports suggested that the  actor was paid a whopping amount as remuneration and there was a reason for Ulaganayagan to quote such a mammoth amount. The actor was never lured by any brands and has been turned down several offers earlier. But this textile brand was ecstatic to sign him exclusively for their endorsement and obliged to Kamal’s demands. The alluring ad was out on all television channels on Gandhi Jayanthi on October 2.

Now, the big news is that Haasan has donated the entire money that is said to be '10 crores, which he got as remuneration from the ad, to help and support HIV infected children. Known for his humanitarian activities, it is not the first time that Kamal has performed such a noble gesture. He has been working towards the cause for several years and is a part of raising funds for the AIDS affected children. It is time for more celebrities to take a leaf out of his book and do something for the larger good of society.
