Hyderabad’s Ficci FLO is organising a women achievers’ awards night and a fashion show where 50 FLO members will walk the ramp for their women empowerment initiatives and CSR — Educating the Girl Child.

Rekha Lahoti, president of Ficci FLO, says that about 12 women from various fields will be awarded. “It’s to celebrate the spirit of womanhood. Our FLO members  have been rehearsing for the last 15 to 20 days and I’m happy that a great synergy has been built,” Rekha says.

Designers like Neeta Lulla, Shruti Sancheti, Nikhil Thampi and Divya Reddy have come up with a collection for the show. The event will celebrate FLO’s various women empowerment initiatives like training 1,500 students from Classes VI to X in English, Women in Transport — where they plan to teach driving for free to 200 women, and Swayam — where a team of eight professionals can help you with setting up your own business.
