Mumbai: Roopal Tyagi is the second contestant to be evicted from the Bigg Boss house. The telly star feels that being shown the door was an answer to her prayers. She says, “Those were the longest two weeks of my life. I was praying to be out of the house and I have never been so happy in my life as I am after the eviction. I decided to enter the house as I thought it’d be a lifetime experience. It indeed was, I have started appreciating little things that I had taken for granted earlier.”
Her emotional outburst after ex-flame Ankit Gera’s elimination was the highlight of her two weeks on the show. “For the first two days, I got a lot of negative vibes from Ankit and that’s when I decided to nominate him. Later, we started talking and acting like ex-colleagues and when he got evicted, I felt responsible for it. Though I cried for barely 10 minutes the footage made it seem that I was crying for an entire night. Even if I bump into him, we will be cordial, though the chances of meeting him are very little.”
Roopal, however feels her ouster from the show in a way saved her partner Digangana. She explains, “I saved her because I wouldn’t have been able to survive in that atmosphere; I desperately wanted to be out. I did not consult much with her when Bigg Boss wanted each one from a jodi to be nominated. I gave my name because she has a lot more to do in the show.” In the show, Roopal chose not to change her partner but was later seen cribbing about been stuck with Digangana, “Digangana and I were mere acquaintances before we entered the show. I had a different opinion about her and thought she is full of attitude. Later when I got to know her I realised that she is an 18-year-old kid. I never gossiped about her; It was more like siblings complaining about each other,” she points out.
Being in the limelight constantly is a major surviving tactic she feels. “In the house if you don’t react at the smallest of things you don’t get noticed. You need to give the makers something to show since the show is not scripted. You have to be strongly opinionated about everything to survive in the show,” she says. Ask her who in the house she’d put her money on and she says, “Keith is a sensible guy and a smart player as well, I want him to win the show. Mandana is the most selfish woman on the show; she’ll do something in the house and will constantly brag about it. She is very bossy as well, she should not win the show.”
