Prashanth Varma hints at a story bank
New-age director Prashanth Varma who is basking in the success of ‘HanuMan’ and also launched his next ‘Jai Hanuman’ with Rishab Shetty, disclosed that he has readied many scripts. “I had written more than 33 stories and wrote most of them before I made my debut with the Telugu film ‘Awe'. I have created a story bank of sorts," said the director at an event of 'Devaki Nandana Vasudeva' starring Ashok Galla.
"I have just given a story for this film and it has enough potential. I also have stories for directors like Boyapati Srinu and other stars too,” he added.
However, he penned new stories for ‘HanuMan’ and his next big-ticket film ‘Jai Hanuman’ as well. “Given a choice, I would like to be a writer rather than a director since I love writing scripts a lot in my own space. But the direction has become an additional responsibility and I am game for it too,” he points out.
After working with new actor Tejja Sajja, Prashanth would be working with a big star like Rishab in his next and he has to showcase him in a ‘larger-than-life’ role. It is billed to be a socio-fantasy with Lord Hanuman arriving in Kaliyug to decimate evil forces and restore Dharma in society.
