World’s first building covered in evergreen trees to be build soon
The apartment will be home to more than 100 trees, 6,000 shrubs and 18,000 plants

An Italian architect Stefano Boeri is ready to build a 117m-tall (384ft) apartment in Lausanne, Switzerland.

This will be the first building in the world to be covered in evergreen trees.

The apartment ‘La Tour des Cedres’, will be a 36-story green tower and will be home to more than 100 trees, 6,000 shrubs and 18,000 plants which will spread roughly to 3,000 square meters of green space.

The plants will protect the apartments from dust, harsh winds, noise pollution and will also give a pleasant view.

This is the second project with such idea by Boeri. Previously in Milan he designed two such 112m towers.
