Durex is campaigning for a condom emoji to promote safe sex
This could encourage open and healthy discussion of safe sex in their relationships
People increasingly prefer to communicate through more visual mediums like images and emoji when using gadgets. This is something which definitely cannot be denied as even the 2015 Oxford Dictionaries Word of the Year is actually – an emoji. So, what could be better than emojis to raise awareness about safe sex?
Well-known male contraceptives brand, Durex, has started a campaign to call for a condom emoji. They claim that an official safe sex emoji could enable young people to have an open and healthy discussion of safe sex in their relationships, according to Engadget.
With World Aids Day just around the corner (1st of December), this campaign looks like it’s making a very strong point. What do you think?
