Sex addicts don't watch porn regularly: study
Men with hypersexual disorder showed negative attitudes towards porn
Contrary to popular perception, sex addiction and watching pornography may not have any link if recent studies are to be believed. Researchers conducted a survey in which they analysed 1,998 men who were placed in three groups – hypersexual disorder, those who experience high sex drive and the control group, according to a report by Bustle.
It was found that there was no crossover between men who fell into the hypersexual disorder group and men who fell into the high sex drive group. Men in the hypersexual disorder group had a more negative attitude towards porn consumption and evaluated their sexual morality more negatively.
On the other hand, male participants in the high sex drive group were discovered to have a more positive attitude towards pornography use. The findings of this study were published in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy.
