The first look of 24 draws huge attention

The first look poster of Suriya’s next venture 24 with director Vikram Kumar of Manam fame is out, and is trending on the Internet. The actor himself has tweeted on his social media, “Here is the first look of 24 The Movie. Very close to my heart, loved working. Hope you guys like it (sic).” Touted to be a sci-fi thriller based on the idea of time-travel, which is a new concept to Tamil cinema, the film has Samantha and Nithya Menen as leading ladies. In an earlier interview with DC, Vikram said, “24 is an action adventure and is a pet project of mine. I worked on the script for almost five years. But, there is a tremendous responsibility and pressure while writing the script for a pan-Indian star like Suriya. It has a proper mix of action, humour, romance, sentiment and such elements, keeping in mind the target audience of six to sixty years of age.” A close source says that the title 24 would remain the same, as it is apt for the story. Now, it needs to be seen whether using a number as a title, would attract the 30 percent tax exemption.
