From being the chairperson and managing director of a $10.2-million bio pharma company to taking care of her 10-year-old son Prerith, Mourya Boda has her hands full. “I am just glad that I am not into partying because I could have never taken out time for it,” says the 33-year-old, who earlier this year was awarded at a global platform.

In Istanbul, entrepreneurs from across the world were gathered at International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC). But one that stood out and is a cause of celebration back home is Mourya, chairperson and managing director of a Brilliant Bio Pharma Pvt Ltd, who was awarded for her outstanding entrepreneurial achievements.

Mourya has been heading the company, which is the second largest FMD vaccine manufacturing company in Asia, for the last eight years. “I am, of course, glad. Two members from the FICCI group were awarded, and I was the one from Hyderabad,” says Mourya, adding, “The platform provided by IWEC enables one to take their business to an international level by helping us network with other women entrepreneur,” she says.

And how does she manage to stay on top of all the things? “You need to love what you are doing. That’s the only way you will never feel the pressure and give your best despite all odds,” she says.
