There’s yet another movie that’s being made on a spots personality from Hyderabad. After news of Tony D’Souza’s Azhar emerged, we now know that director Amole Gupte is all set to make a film on badminton champ Saina Nehwal.

The badminton player is obviously excited about seeing her life on screen but admits she does not have much of a say in the script. “No, I do not have any say as such in the script but if Amole has any questions, I am always available to help.”

Talking about how the project took shape, Saina says, “Amole knew me as a badminton player so, he wanted to tell my story to the world and then planned to make a biopic on me.” But Saina is not sure which parts of her life would be highlighted in the movie.

“He knows about every part of my life, so I am not yet sure which parts of my life he plans to touch on in the biopic.” The star also has no favourites when it comes to casting and is leaving it to Amole to find the best fit.

And as the year comes to an end, Saina recollects the ups and lows of this year. “I lost in All England and the World Cup which was a huge loss to my badminton carrier. I could not retain my title at China Open, which would have been a landmark. I will always repent the losses.”

But it has been a good year too. “I won two titles and three silvers this year. I was No. 1 and remained No. 2 for most part of year so I am happy. I was also nominated as the Woman Player in badminton for 2015.” Seems like 2015 has had enough action to pack an entire film script!
