The new academic has suggested that Eve was made from Adam’s Penis and not from his rib. This has caused outrage among the Christians.

The theory states that Eve was made from a penis bone or baculum. It further briefs that the story in the Bible is an attempt to explain why man lacks a penis bone.

Ziony Zevit, distinguished Professor of Biblical Literature says the Hebrew word ‘tsela’, in the Old Testament, does not translate as ‘rib’, as has been the accepted meaning for millennia, as per Mirror.Uk.

He explains that the word means limbs sticking out sideways from an upright human body - the hands or feet, and for men the penis.

He says that the episodes of the Garden of Eden story basically explain how a natural feature came into existence. The story about rib just explains why man has no penile bone.

A review of professor’s book “What really happened in the Garden of Eden?” was established in Biblical Archaeology Review Magazine. This made people and many religious leaders furious.

One of the readers wrote to the magazine about her disappointment for publishing such review and said she wish to cancel her subscription.

Another reader wrote that how is Ziony Zevit’s article related to Biblical archaeology?

Zevit also claims that Genesis 2:21, about God closing the flesh beneath the ‘tsela’, refers to the flesh that exists on the underside of the penis, as reported by Mirror. UK.

He also said that his analysis of formation of Eve was based on the use of Hebrew in the Garden story.
