With another full year ahead of us, ladies around the world are obsessing about beauty trends to follow in 2016. We have seen a lot of dark shades and dark makeup trending in 2015, so this year the trending colours for makeup as well as fashion will be Pantone shades like Rose Quartz (pale pink), Serenity (close to baby blue), Peach Echo (light orange), Buttercup (calm yellow), Limpet Shell (aqua green), Fiesta (yellow based red), Iced Coffee (soft coffee), Green Flash (natural green) and Snorkel Blue (navy blue). These are natural colours that can be used for a natural look.
Rose Quartz can be used more during the day and also for a nude or makeup-free look. It can be used for the eyes as well as on the cheekbones to give the skin a healthy tint. When mixed with Peach Echo with a dash of gloss for the lips it, becomes a summer-friendly shade. Serenity, on the other hand, can be used on the nails and also on the eyelids for a fun evening out. Colours like Buttercup, Limpet Green and Green Flash are projected to be big and I suggest using them to lend a sexy and flirtatious vibe to your look. They are also perfect for beach parties or a date at an al fresco restaurant. Since they are colours found in the outdoors, that's where they work well too. Experimental shades like Limpet Shell and Snorkel Blue can be used as eyeliners to define your eyes, while the more tried and tested Fiesta and Iced Coffee are the colours for your lips.
Apart from Pantone shades, earthy eye shadows highlight the eyes quite well. We will never outgrow metallic hues, specially for weddings. Deep berry, bright fuschia pink, pinkish brown, bright red and mocha are the colours that are known to suit the Indian skin tone but according to me, every colour suits desi skin tones, if used the right way. While makeup is a great way to enhance your look, remember to take care of your skin by eating healthy and maintaining the diet.
