Suresh Babu’s acting debut in Azhar?
Top producer could have a ‘small role’ in movie about former cricket captain.
Producer Suresh Babu might soon be seen on screen for the first time. According to a source, if everything goes well, Suresh Babu may appear in the Bollywood film Azhar — the biopic on former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin.
“Azhar’s director Tony D’Souza and Suresh Babu are good friends and he has approached Suresh Babu for an important role in the film,” revealed a source.
Suresh Babu’s son Rana Daggubati may also have a small role in it.
Interestingly, Suresh Babu has never acted in films though he has had umpteen opportunities. Even his father, the late Rama Naidu, insisted he act, but the producer never showed any interest. Suresh Babu’s brother Venkatesh is a top star in Telugu cinema and his son Rana is also well-known actor. “Suresh Babu told the director that he didn’t have experience in front of the camera. But the director offered a very important role to him,” the source added.
Emraan Hashmi is playing Azharuddin in the film.
