I have done nothing wrong: Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Actor visited the Versova Police station to record his statement on the matter.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui became talk of the town on Sunday evening, after a woman filed a complaint accusing him of physical assault. On Monday morning, the actor visited the Versova Police station to record his statement on the matter.
When asked about the complainant, he said, “She was a complete stranger, who doesn’t even stay in the society. I did not push anyone and I was shocked to learn about the complaint. In fact, my wife was pushed in my office.” He added,
“I have not done anything wrong, so I went to the police station on my own to record my statement. As for the rest, my lawyer will do the needful. I believe in law and justice of our country.”
According to sources, in his housing society, Nawaz was sent a letter a few weeks ago. On Sunday afternoon when he was having lunch, the society members barged into his office, and one of them in fact pushed his wife to get inside. He was in the washroom at that time. When he stepped out, there was some chaos and by then someone had started to record a video on her phone and had also clicked a few photos. The actor politely requested her to not shoot them.
When Nawaz got to know that his wife was pushed, he asked her to register a complaint against the members. In the evening when she went to the police station to do the same, she found out that the society members had already gone ahead and filed an FIR against him.
