Watch: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in action as she shoots for 'Sarbjit' biopic

The biopic on Indian convict Sarabjit Singh, who was beaten to death in a Pakistani jail, is being helmed by Omung Kumar.

The film will be narrated through the perspective of Sarabjit Singh's sister Dalbir Kaur, played by Aishwarya.

Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was recently spotted shooting for her upcoming film 'Sarbjit'. The biopic on Indian convict Sarabjit Singh, who was beaten to death in a Pakistani jail, is being helmed by Omung Kumar.

The film revolves around an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan after he inadvertently crossed the border. The film also stars Randeep Hooda, who plays the title role, whereas Richa Chadha will essay the role of his wife, Sukhpreet Kaur.

The film will be narrated through the perspective of Sarabjit Singh’s sister Dalbir Kaur, played by Aishwarya.

The movie will be shot in various cities of Punjab like Amritsar, Malerkotla and Patiala in the month of January and the last leg of the schedule will be shot in Delhi in the month of February.

The fans will see Aishwarya going up against her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan at the box office.  Both 'Sarbjit' and 'TE3N' will hit the screens on May 19, 2016.
