Historical touch to prenuptial moments
Historic places in Warangal are now the go-to locations for couples for their pre-wedding shoots.
Photo shoots have become a part of rituals in Indian weddings. And couples are not shying away from spending money to capture candid moments in exotic locations as part of pre-wedding photo shoot. Coming to exotic locations, historic places like Fort Warangal and Laknavaram are seeing a number of wedding shoots.
Why historic places? Mostly because these places represent surviving the test of time and symbolise strength and tenacity in good and bad times — which a couple aims to achieve even in a marriage. And for photographers too, such iconic structures are rich in details and give depth to the photographs.
“Warangal is where I grew up and I thought they would add sentimental and nostalgic value to the photos,” says K. Srikanth, a software professional, who recently got his photo shoot done.
Nowadays, couples put in effort to get their romantic moments clicked at the best location available. Apart from photo shoots, the latest trend includes wedding duets, which cost anything between Rs 10,000 and Rs 40,000 depending on the number of locations and equipment used.
“Indian weddings are a bit chaotic with many rituals; it is also tiresome for the bride and the groom. Pre-wedding shoots give them an opportunity to spend some time together and get to know each other better. This time can be spent making beautiful pictures as well. Location plays a vital role in pre-wedding photo shoot, an exotic location or some historic location make for the best setting,” says B. Kumar, a photographer from Warangal.
Unfortunately, the ASI recently decided not to let any photoshoot on the Warangal Fort premises as they felt it was causing disturbance to the tourists. So the couples now have to sadly forgo this one particular place.
