Yulu launches its first personal electric two-wheeler priced at Rs 55,555
PUNE: Last-mile electric mobility start-up, Yulu on Friday launched its new electric two-wheeler Wynn at an introductory price of Rs 55,555 at Bangalore showroom.
Yulu Wynn is a single seater personal use electric scooter and a compelling city vehicle for personal use.
Deliveries will commence from mid-May. After the introductory period, Yulu Wynn will be available at a price of Rs 59,999.
One doesn’t require a driving license to ride Yulu Wynn which means the top speed is capped at 25 km/h. Specs, range and other details are not yet out.
CTL (Chetak Technologies Ltd), a subsidiary of Bajaj Auto will manufacture Yulu Wynn.
“Mobility is still quite underserved in our country and there is a huge scope for new mobility categories built around continuously changing user needs. We are delighted to see Yulu enter the personal mobility space with the Wynn to offer easy mobility to a wide base of users. Wynn will be built at our CTL plant and will have the same world-class quality that Bajaj vehicles are known for,” Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director at Bajaj Auto, said.
The new two- wheeler offers features such as keyless access that allows vehicle access through the Yulu mobile app and instant family-sharing that allows remote vehicle access with one’s friend or family.
“It's India’s first electric two-wheeler for easy-mobility that offers not just an intelligent commute option but also disrupts the whole ownership experience…It is a very compelling offering that will make customers pause, re-evaluate, and change their mobility choices. Wynn will enable everyone to ‘Ride their freedom’ in their own ways,” said Amit Gupta, Co-founder & CEO at Yulu Bikes.
According to the company, the two-wheeler offers an affordable ownership experience through its mobility subscription packs, which reduce the upfront cost of ownership by 40 per cent. The company will offer mobility subscription packages, which customers can pick based on their requirements.
At present, the two-wheeler will be available in Bengaluru, and additional cities will be added soon. Without the need for a driving licence and vehicle registration, it can be driven with confidence by people of all ages above 16.
