IndianOil claims highest market share in Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada: IndianOil is the market leader in Andhra Pradesh in the retail segment, with the highest market share of 34.2 per cent in sale of petrol and diesel -- of around 40 per cent. In the domestic LPG business, IndianOil has a market share of approx. 34.6 per cent in the state.

This was stated on Thursday by B. Anilkumar, executive director & state head, Telangana and AP, at a press meet here on Thursday.

He said, “IndianOil with its strong marketing infrastructure of 1570 retail outlets supported by our storage infrastructures in Vijayawada, Vizag, Rajamahendravaram, Chittoor, Ongole, Kakinada and Guntakal, enables us to scrupulously cater to the fuel needs of the people of AP."

IndianOil has a product storage capacity of 58.6 TKL of MS and 175 TKL of HSD in these terminals in AP.

Kumar said IndianOil was engaged in major projects in Andhra Pradesh. “Our new depot at Guntakal erected at a cost of ₹350 crore will be inaugurated soon. The new terminal at Atchutapuram costs ₹466 crore. A new LPG bottling plant is being constructed in Chittoor at a cost of ₹167 crore. These projects could be completed in 2023.”

He said the ongoing Paradip Hyderabad Pipeline project, being executed by IndianOil at an investment of over ₹3338 crore, would facilitate enhanced leverage in terms of fuel supplies for IndianOil in AP.

“Further, we are also revamping our facilities at Vizag terminal at a cost of ₹355 crore and augmenting the tankerage & allied facilities at Vijayawada terminal with ₹316 crore,” he said.

In the last three years, IndianOil has commissioned 259 retail outlets in AP. We have solarized 473 retail outlets in the state, forming an installed capacity of 2700kw. Keeping with the velocity of the changing trend with e-mobility, IndianOil has set up 138 EV charging stations and aims to commission another 200 charging stations this year.

IndianOil also does CNG partnering with the CGD operators at 64 retail outlets in AP and proposes to add another 16 CNG filling facilities this year.

The active customer base of Indane LPG in AP is about 51.5 lakhs out of the total customer base of ₹1.5 crore of LPG customers in Andhra Pradesh, which is approximately 35 per cent of the total LPG connections. On the LPG front, IndianOil has a bottling capacity of 360 TMTPA across its three LPG bottling plants in Vizag, Vijayawada and Kadapa. IndianOil strives to deliver the booked Indane LPG refills within a minimum period of a day.
