Krrish set benchmark for superhero films in Bollywood, still rules over all of them!
The movie which initiated the concept of superheroes in Bollywood inspired Shah Rukh Khan and Tiger Shroff.
Remember the time when Koi Mil Gaya became a super hit? The golden days of Hrithik Roshan proved he had the capacity to become a superstar and he did become one, in the form of superhero Krrish.
3 years after Koi Mil Gaya, Rakesh Roshan directed his son in Krrish, and soon after its release, this superhero set a benchmark like no other!
Not only did the film become a blockbuster, but Hrithik too became popular among young kids and even today, he is undoubtedly the most loved superhero Bollywood has seen.
Hrithik also is one of those superstars who create a frenzy which is something every actor craves to have. It went so wide that families adopted the name Krrish for their children.
The movie which initiated the concept of superheroes in Bollywood became so inspiring for Shah Rukh Khan and Tiger Shroff that they too attempted to turn superheroes.
SRK undoubtedly has superstardom and he is called King for a reason, and thus Ra. One was widely awaited. The film by Anubhav Sinha connected with a limited audience despite the songs of this film, like Chammak Challo or Stand By Me or Criminal, ruling the charts then and even being a favourite on certain occasions.
Similarly Tiger Shroff also attempted to play A Flying Jatt with Jacqueline Fernandez as his female lead under the vision of Remo D’Souza, but that too wasn’t something the audiences liked to see.
Hence, history is proof that Hrithik Roshan as Krrish is the only superhero which the audiences have loved and accepted fully.
It has been 12 years since Krrish came into existence, but even only this special movie's anniversary, it seems just like yesterday.
The successful franchise is now going to be taken forward as Rakesh Roshan has commenced Krrish 4 which is currently going through the scripting phase.
Krrish 4 has already piqued interest because the much-loved franchise will also bring Priyanka Chopra back in Bollywood, that too post her marriage to Nick Jonas.
