Veteran singer Neha Bhasin gives a fitting reply to cyber bullies through her track Kehnde Rehnde. The Award-winning singer is the first Indian to make a song on the subject.

The impactful track, which was launched on Monday, strongly calls out on issues like slut shaming, sexism, cyber bullying and limiting a woman to stereotypical standards of society.

Neha, who has chartbusters like Jag Ghoomeya, Swing Zara, Dhunki, Hello Hello, Atu Nuvve and Pesugiren Pesugiren to her credit and sings in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, has become the voice of youngsters with her soulful music. She believes it is time society does a rethink on the way women are treated.

Kehnde Rehnde is my way of highlighting the sexism, bias and shaming that takes place every day, every minute, online and offline in our society. It needs to be heard loud and clear by those who endorse the idea that a man needs to behave in a certain way and women need to stay within the limits of ‘tradition’ to be accepted in society. It’s about time that we put our foot down. Through my music, I intend to reach every nook and corner which gives shelter to these mindsets,” she asserts.
