Karan Johar and Ajay Devgn's brewing cold war
Ajay Devgn will be playing the same character as Akshay Kumar of legendary Ishar Singh.
Mumbai: Every now and then we hear some Bollywood celebrity having a cold war with his/her contemporary. No, we are not talking about Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Last year it was Karan Johar and Ajay Devgn who were at loggerheads regarding the release dates of their respective films, 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and ‘Shivaay’; and it seems they are carrying forward their fight or should we say levelling up their rivalry this year as well.
According to reports, Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar are both making a movie, not together, on the historic Battle of Saragarhi. Though Devgn had announced about his venture, ‘Sons of Sardaar’, on Twitter account last year by sharing the poster of it and on the other hand Kjo announced it few days ago. Looking at Karan Johar’s Twitter post it seems Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan are going to be part of the historic film. According to a report, Ajay Devgn will be playing the same character as Akshay Kumar of legendary Ishar Singh.
It’s not new that Bollywood is having two movies releasing with same story and around same time. If you look back at Hindi cinema timeline then you’ll find three Bhagat Singh movies were released in the year 2002. Speaking of three movies, reportedly there is a third movie based on the Battle of Saragarhi directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Hmmm!
