Actor Rajkummar Rao is a busy man. He’s already had four releases this year, and there’s another one on the way. Meanwhile, he has also started work on his next project — Made In China, the story of a struggling Gujarati businessman’s bizarre journey to becoming a successful entrepreneur.

Talking about the film, the actor says, “It is a story of aspirations. It is an unusual tale of a Gujarati businessman who is an underdog. We all have dreams, and Raghu’s dream is to make it big. The film is all about how he gets there. It’s a quirky, relatable story.”

Made In China also stars Boman Irani and Mouni Roy, and it’s slated for release on Independence Day next year. Rajkummar reveals that taking the project up was a completely impulsive decision. “I always look at what a script offers me before taking a call now. There have been times when I have done projects I didn’t want to do — either out of friendship or respect — but that hasn’t worked in my favour. But I am wiser now. I no longer do things that I don’t believe in,” he adds.
