Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir, other stars prove they have hearts of gold!
The altruistic side of celebs is not always a publicity stunt. These folks are filled with kindness and charitable thoughts.
Just recently, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift decided to pay full-blown student loans for their adoring fans. It was reported that even actor Colin Farrell took a homeless man on a shopping spree, buying him clothes and a sleeping bag. To the ordinary man, it might look like just another publicity stunt, but what most people tend to overlook is that celebrities too have a humane and caring side to them.
Shah Rukh Khan has also been in the news, and not just because of the endless promotions for Jab Harry Met Sejal, but because the king of romance switched to showering kindness when he appeared on the reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs, 2017, and asked a paraplegic fan for an autograph. Deeply moved by Siddhi, the ardent fan’s courage, will power and immense love for him, Shah Rukh had to fight back tears. The fact that he was just being human wasn’t lost on even the most staunch haters and cynics.
This also brings back memories of Aamir Khan meeting his fan Nihaal, suffering from Progeria. Salman Khan turned into a real-life Bhaijaan for Zaina and her family. During the shooting of his movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Zaina had approached Salman for help and sure enough, his humane side came forward when he helped rebuild their small house in the village. Later, he also arranged for a job for Zaina’s grandson. Even Hrithik Roshan makes it to the list as the actor had readily agreed to meet his devoted fan Nikita Shukla, a 15-year-old cancer patient, as it was her last wish.
Anushka Sharma might be known for her talent, but a little known fact is that she and beau Virat Kohli are massive dog lovers. Their love and adoration for canines came to the fore when together, they campaigned for a noise-free Diwali for dogs. As Kannada actor Bhavana claims, “It’s a unique bond that goes beyond the status of any celebrity. When you get that kind of love and appreciation, it humbles you because you don’t want to lose that. The exchange of emotions is instinctive. When you come across something so inspiring, you are bound to feel moved. It comes as a surprise in case of celebrities because people just assume it’s some sort of a stunt.”
From actor Rahul Bose taking a personal trip to all the disaster struck coasts during the 2006 Tsunami to Amitabh Bachchan inviting a 100-year-old Alzheimer’s sufferer to celebrate Big B’s birthday — Bollywood celebs have always shown compassion. These aren’t just stunts or little phases of interactions. No matter how professional a poise they are required to maintain, sometimes they are left overwhelmed as well.
