When Lara was asked why didn’t she accept the role in the Matrix series when she was offered one, while PC latched on to her Hollywood offers, she quipped: “Why do you want me to clone her? Why do you want two girls to tread the same path? Then what will be special about us? Every girl has her own set of dreams and own set of priorities. We had a golden period between 1992 and 2000. I looked up to people like Madhu Sapre and Manpreet Brar in those days as role models. They were not stereotypes. When Madhu was asked what would she do if she won the pageant, she replied that she would change the infrastructure for sports.”
