Sara will be celebrated for her work, says 'Kedarnath' director Abhishek Kapoor
Abhishek revealed that he wanted a newcomer opposite Sushant Singh Rajput for the film.
Director Abhishek Kapoor’s film, Kedarnath is all set to hit screens next month and will see Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in pivotal roles. Ask Abhishek what made him cast Sara, and he reveals that he wanted a newcomer for this film. “For the girl’s part, I needed someone really fresh and I also wanted to shoot the film fast. With established actors, you have to work on dates and I didn’t have the patience.”
Written, directed and co-produced by Kapoor, the film tells the story of a Hindu girl (Sara) who takes a pilgrimage to the historic Kedarnath temple in the Uttarakhand mountains, where she meets and falls in love with her Muslim guide (Sushant).
Abhishek, who has offered Sara a dream launch with Kedarnath, believes that she is here to stay. “She is a great girl! She is very confident and is going to go very far. She is professional and she will be celebrated for her work. I think she is very dedicated and has got a great head,” says the Kai Po Che director.
