Manoj Bajpayee has denied reports that he has been cast opposite Prabhas in Salaar.

A section of the media and the trade have been saying that the Family Man actor will now be seen with the Baahubali star in the film directed by Prashanth Neel.
“Wrong news, yaar,” said Manoj when we asked him about these reports.
Earlier, the news of Vijay Sethupathi and John Abraham playing important roles in the KGF director’s next project had created waves in the news media as well as social media.

The film with Prabhas is based on the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
Manoj has been seen in four Telugu films so far — Puli, Happy, Prema Katha and Vedam directed by Krish Jagarlamudi in 2010, in which he played Rahumuddin Qureshi. He appeared in a film called 1971 in 2007.
Incidentally, many recent films are based on the Indo-Pak war, including Bhuj, and upcoming projects like Sam Bahadur, Kangana Ranaut’s untitled film where she plays Indira Gandhi, Nikhil Dwivedi’s film directed by Saket Chaudhary and Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkees starring Varun Dhawan.
