Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem to pair up for production
After an acting assignment, the filmy siblings will now work on producing a short film together.
The strong bond between star siblings Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem is apparent for anyone to see. They are frequently seen partying together and will now be seen acting together for the first time in a film titled Dobara, which is a Hollywood remake of thriller Oculus.
But there’s more—the two are now going to collaborate on an exciting new project. A close source reveals, “Huma and Saqib will produce a short film together, which will also have Saqib playing the lead. Swati Trivedi, who has worked as an assistant on several Dharma Productions and YRF films, including Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Fan and Raees, will direct the film. While the script is in place, the hunt for the leading lady opposite Saqib is on.”
The brother-sister duo had been toying with the idea of producing a film for a while now. “Swati is a close friend of theirs. So, when she discussed this idea with them, they agreed to do it. Huma and Saqib are also creating content for digital space,” the source added.
When contacted, Saqib said, “It is too early to comment on this right now. We will talk about it when the time is right. We want to avoid speculations as of now.”
