Dabangg 3 script is ready; it's on Chulbul's life before becoming Robinhood: Salman
The superstar has also confirmed that his director-producer brother Arbaaz Khan is not helming the film.
Mumbai: ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Dabangg 2’ are two of superstar Salman Khan’s most entertaining films till date and so it comes as no surprise that bhai is coming back as Chulbul Pandey (his character in the franchise) for a third time!
While talking to a daily, Salman confirmed that the script for ‘Dabangg 3’, which is touted to be a prequel to part 1 and 2, is indeed ready and all set to go on floors. He said, “The script of Dabangg 3 is ready. It’s going to start during Bharat, which is Atul and Alvira’s (Agnihotri) film that Ali (Abbas Zafar) is directing. That starts after Remo’s film. Atul’s film requires some gaps. So between the schedules for Atul’s film, I will shoot for Dabangg 3.”
The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ star also confirmed that the film will show Chulbul’s life before his claim to fame as the Robinhood of our time. “So it’s Chulbul Pandey now and then — what has gone on in his life before part one and two. The flashback will show how Chulbul Pandey actually became Chulbul Pandey. The remaining part will be about what he’s up to now,” revealed the superstar.
Speaking about his brother Arbaaz Khan, who has directed the second instalment of the film, will only wear the hat of a producer for this film and not helm it. Salman said, “He gets very hyper so we asked him to chill and take rest. He will produce the film this time.”
On a related note, Salman Khan’s latest release ‘Tubelight’ has been panned by critics and received lukewarm response from the audience. Out on Eid, June 23, ‘Tubelight’ is bhai’s weakest opening on this auspicious occasion. Five days have passed by and the film has not crossed 100-Cr mark yet.
Salman will soon be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ opposite Katrina Kaif. The film releases some time around Christmas holidays.
