Mumbai: Mithila Palkar is definitely on the seventh heaven for her accomplishments’ in the Hindi film industry as her film with her favourite actor Irfan Khan titled, ‘Karwaan’ is all set to release soon. Having chosen the unconventional path, Mithila feels she is enjoying her stint on screen be it big or small screen. She says, “My friend just clicked myself singing on her mobile…Though I never plan anything but giving gained a little prominence with that ‘Cup Song’ this song went viral and I became a rage as a singer.”

Her biggest achievements are working with South film hero Dulquer Salmaan. She says, “Working with Dulquer Salmaan we became good friends. I am not a fan of his. Undeniably, when all my friends who are diehard fan of DS send me lovely message which I do pass on to him. Playing the mediator feels good. Dulquer Salmaan feels fine and happy after reading these SMS sent by her female fan following which he has in a huge number. Whenever we ask him about having a huge fan following …..He blushes red and blue.”

On no censorship on the social media and web series, Mithila talks in favor of Art, “ We need to look at the literal translation of any form of Arts on the reel..Art needs to be transparent and needs to be subjected to liberal approach. Art needs to be limitless thus to be able to portray the authentic story on reel. In today’s time’s web series are not subjected to censorship –this indeed helps the makers to be able to express their content true to their expression as well to the expression of the happening from the society. As films is reflection of the society. Having said that-I think we need not use cuss words unnecessarily if there is no censorship on social media, we need to to express our freedom authentically.. The required freedom of expression can open certain blurred lines for people from the films. This is an exciting time in the field of creative field and I am happy to be the part of the industry as well at this right time.”

On finding changes in her individuality, she tells, “Generally in my acting career I have realized & my learning’s is being able to trust yourself first. You also need to believe in yourself more than anyone else. Nothing will come easily .We need to work hard from your heart. Things will then definitely fall in the right place. Keep doing what you wish to do.”

Belonging to a middle class family it hasn’t been cake walk for her having kissed on screen she feared her Nana –Nani. Mithila candidly mentions, “Yes! My parents who live in Vashi have been supportive of me venturing into the field of glitz and glamour. I have done a kiss scene earlier on screen so before it could be telecast I made my grandparents strong. Making them aware of it I told them, there is something which you may not like. But it was an essential part of the story so I had to do it.”

'Karwaan' is all set to release on August 3.
