We in South India...Rana to Shah Rukh Khan

On September 10th, during the IIFA Awards 2024 press conference held in Mumbai, Rana Daggubati displayed his traditional south Indian culture as he bowed down and touched the feet of Shah Rukh Khan further endearing himself to the fans and audiences. The same was ready to promote the prestigious awards, and Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Abhishek Banerjee were all in attendance.
At this point, Karan Johar issued a formal invitation to Rana to walk up to the stage. To reach there, first, Rana bent and touched the feet of both SRK and Karan, justifying, smiling, ‘We are complete South Indians. This is how we do it’. Such warmth was reciprocated as SRK later kissed and hugged Rana, signifying respect for each other.
Still on the ladies, Rana wondered loudly about the experience of catching up with Shah Rukh Khan in one of the anniversaries that was held in the foreign land—Dubai. He missed how SRK treated him, and said “Sir I do not know if you remember. There were four languages and an event in Dubai. We had an after-party at your house.” SRK, in his usual playful way, said, “Should I tell them about it? I was actually trying to put it on the hush-hush.” Rana was then flowing with words praising how admirable SRK was, even off-screen as he was considerate enough to entertain people from all four south Indian industries.
Rana took some time to pay thanks to Karan Johar, recognizing him for the way he unified South Indian cinema and mainstream Bollywood. Karan has been responsible for fetching Baahubali into perspective, and aiding the other industries of film under one roof. He congratulated IIFA on how it has worked to bring such talent from all over India and create a base.
Earlier in the event, Karan Johar was welcomed on the stage and humorously, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Abhishek Banerjee made fun of themselves by touching their own feet, making everyone laugh.
IIFA Awards 2024 will occur from 27th September to 29th September, location will be Yas Island, Abu Dhabi along with the crew of performing artists for the show including Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
