Kangana Ranaut opens up on angry Jaya Bachchan

Kangana Ranaut has delivered a rather unexpected remark about veteran actress and Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan. It was during a discussion on one of the news channels that multiline speaking seems to have courted trouble as a one continual defending oneself in treasuring attention and getting brass polls in her line of work. Being a publicity seeking actor herself, later Kangana expressed compliments for Jaya, although just a few days earlier she had come out criticizing the movie legend for opposing being called Jaya Amitabh Bachchan in Rajya Sabha.

In a , she referred to Jaya Bachchan as one of the very elegant ladies in the Bollywood fraternity. So she is one of the most glorious stars of this country. “I think this is a harsh remark against Leela Chitnis, rather, I welcome her and respect her as she is,” Kangana said, referring to Jaya's Hit Films and TV Shows during the 1970s. “Back then she did films like Guddi where she endorsed women empowerment. I believe when she sits in a Rajya Sabha, she conducts herself with immense poise, and it is nice to witness such a strong representation of this industry.”

Further praising Jaya, Kangana remarked that she is one of the few actresses who knew how to give respect to her work. To which Kangana responded that just the opposite in fact is true and that is why Sheila ki jawani was a superhit diva song.

When asked to reflect on their past disputes, including the ‘verbal battle’ in 2020 regarding drug allegations in Bollywood, Kangana’s attitude softened a little. “They are our elders and if they give some advise, it is not bad” is what she said.

And just a few days back, Kangana had called Jaya’s disagreement with her being addressed by the husband’s name as ‘petty issues’ and termed Jaya as too arrogant, as she commented on Fever FM ‘People are bursting out of proportion as if they are in a panic attack. And when they scream ‘My perception has been usurped, I am obliterated’, all I feel is pity.’ In spite of this, Kangana’s more recent opinions indicate that there is some degree of an admiration for the legacy of Jaya Bachchan as an actress and a politician in India.
