50 cent earning a crore a month?
But rapper claims he's bankrupt with liabilities within the range of $10 to $50 million.
Rapper 50 Cent is not broke at all. In fact, he’s earning nearly $184,000 a month and still has over $60 million in assets. According to the Daily Mail, which claims to have accessed the singer’s bankruptcy documents, 50 Cent — real name Curtis James Jackson III — the rapper filed for bankruptcy last June just days after a jury in New York awarded fellow rapper Rick Ross’ partner Lastonia Leviston, $7 million following a legal case over her leaked sex tape.
It’s believed that 50 Cent bought the tape from the man who was in the video and, at the time, Leviston’s boyfriend. The tape surfaced 2009 with Fifty as narrator Pimpin’ Curly. Adding to the 40-year-old singer’s legal woes, he also lost a legal battle with business partners over a failed headphones deal. He received a judgement which asked him to pay up $17 million.
But the rapper claims he’s bankrupt with financial liabilities within the range of $10 to $50 million — the same as the worth of his assets. But the Mail claims appraisers have determined his assets total over $64 million and that his liabilities hover around the $36 million mark.
