The Boys spin-off drama, Gen V, premiered its first four episodes on Prime Video to rave reviews from critics, viewers and fans of The Boys franchise, who are captivated by the diabolical badassery in Gen V. The series expands the universe to Godolkin University where the ensemble cast experiences dramatic scenarios amidst their super-style power-battles and incessant partying. As the students compete for popularity and excellent marks, the stakes are higher with the race to join The Seven looming on their heads. The leading actors have opened up about their character’s eclectic powers and the training that went behind them.

Actor Asa Germann playing the role of Sam said, “Sam is, really, really strong. Basically, if a normal Supe is punching someone and breaking, you know, their arm, when Sam punches someone, they explode. He can also jump really high and gets kind of frenzied. We have a lot of cool sequences in the show.” Despite Germann having a good heart, he’s plagued by his hallucinations, which sometimes make it hard for him to discern between what is—and is not—reality. He further adds, “Stunt training is crazy. I am not athletic, I'm like the least coordinated person on the planet. It's been really challenging. We have a great team of stunt people here who are training us. I've never done a project where you literally are playing like a badass superhero that needs to know how to mess a bunch of people up in a short period of time!”

Patrick Schwarzenegger also shares why his superpower character is number one, “Golden Boy’s power is that he’s able to light on fire. He’s got flames but he’s also extremely strong, and I think he’s stronger than pretty much everybody at the school and you get to see that with some of his fighting capabilities. He’s strong. He lights on fire. He’s just capable of pretty much kicking everybody else’s ass which is why he’s number one.”

The series cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi. Gen V also features guest stars Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter, as well as appearances from Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and P.J. Byrne, reprising their roles from The Boys. The first 4 episodes of the spinoff are now streaming exclusively on Prime Video in 240+ countries and territories worldwide, with fresh episodes premiering each Friday, leading up to the electrifying series finale on November 3.
