An MBA graduate enters filmdom
Adhiti makes her entry in K'town with Tubelight, directed by Indra.
Adhiti, an MBA graduate, is foraying into Kollywood, with a film titled Tubelight. Directed by Indra, this film is a rom-com produced by Ostrich Media Productions. The supporting cast includes Pandiyarajan, Praveen Prem, Vinoth, Bujji Babu and Ramya Shankar in significant roles.
Stepping into the film industry is a mere coincidence, says Adhiti. She goes on to add, “I didn’t put in any effort to get into films — it just came my way. To be part of Indra’s Tubelight is a blessing in disguise. Only after I got to the shooting spot, could I understand the hard work and seriousness that went into the making. I was scared initially, but the entire team helped me get rid of my inhibitions.”
Speaking about her role in the movie, she quips, “I play Hema, an art therapist in the movie. Since I am from Kerala, I had language issues, but director Indra and his team of assistant directors gave me the dialogues beforehand. They were supportive and it put me at ease and let me concentrate on my performance.”
The USP of Tubelight is that the hero suffers from a medical condition where he is able to hear anything only after five seconds. “It was different when the director narrated the concept to me. How he gets into issues because of his medical condition forms the crux of the story. I will decide on my next course after seeing the reception of this venture,” she concludes.
