Film star Yash's birthday celebrations turn tragic for three fans

Gadag: Three people lost their lives to electrocution while erecting a birthday cutout of renowned film star Yash in Soranagi village, in Gadag district.
The incident occurred around 11.30 pm on Sunday.
KGF fame film star Yash's birthday is on January 8. A group of 20 enthusiastic fans gathered to install a cutout in his honor in their village.
However, tragedy struck when the cutout inadvertently came into contact with an overhead electric line, resulting in the electrocution of three individuals- Hanumanta (21), Murali (20), Naveen (19) and injuring a few.
“Three youths lost their lives while attempting to set up a cutout around midnight at Soranagi village in Lakshmeshwar of Gadag district. The metal frame of the cutout came into contact with the power line, leading to the electrocution. A case has been registered at Lakshmeshwar station,” Gadag SP Babasab Nemagoud told reporters.
The police have initiated an investigation.
Following the unfortunate event, some villagers expressed a desire for actor Yash to visit the village as a gesture of support and solidarity.
MLC Chandru Lamani visited the hospital and spoke to the relatives of the victims.
