Karthi and Suriya unite for a film

Ever since Karthi made his acting debut with Paruthiveeran, many have waited for that one film, where both brothers Suriya and Karthi would come together. Though they have worked together in Aayudha Ezhuthu, with Suriya in the lead and Karthi assisting Mani Ratnam, the siblings haven’t shared screen space yet.   Though they won’t most likely be acting together, Suriya is now all set to produce a film, with Karthi in the lead.  

The film will be directed by Pasanga fame Pandiraj, whose last film was also produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. Rajsekar Pandian of 2D Entertainment, confirms the news about the interesting collaboration. “It is true that 2D is producing a film with Karthi in the lead and Pandiraj sir will be directing it. We will be deciding the cast and the crew in the coming days.”

Speaking about when the film will go on floors, he says, “Karthi will start shooting of Karuppu Raja Vella Raja next. Once it is completed, he might start working on this film. Hopefully, it will start by the end of this year.” Although Suriya is producing the project, fans are hoping that the Singam actor does a cameo of sorts in the film, thereby sharing the screen with Karthi. Meanwhile, 2D Entertainment, is bankrolling two other big projects, Suriya’s Thaana Sertha Kootam and Jyothika’s Magalir Mattum.
