Manjima Mohan is currently busy with the post-production of two Tamil films — Sathriyan, and the Udhayanidhi Stalin’s untitled. The young actress, who is dubbing for the latter, speaks to DC about her roles in both the films.

“I wouldn’t say my role in Udhyanidhi Stalin’s film is new or different. But, it is a strong character. The common factor about my roles is that they are bold. However, they are set in different environments. In Sathriyan, you will see a native girl, in the other film, I play a town girl,” Manjima says.

Directed by Gaurav Narayanan, the film has been tentatively titled Ippadai Vellum. “This is the shooting title as of now. But the makers might or might not come up with a new title,” the AYM actress reveals.

Manjima is all praise for Gaurav and calls him energetic — “He gives more importance to the technical aspects of the film. When it comes to acting, he doesn’t interfere much until someone crosses the line.”

About Udhayanidhi, she says, “I guess he is the  most caring person I have worked with. For any complaints, the first person I go to is Udhayanidhi. Not only in terms of production issues, even in terms of life problems, I ask him for suggestions. He’s got a good character in this film; the transition from the first half to second is brilliant,” she quips.
