M’town ace Roshan Andrews, who also made Jyothika’s 36 Vayadhinile, is now attempting a similar genre with a movie titled Kayamkulam Kochunni. Kochunni from Kerala was a famed thief, who lived in early 19th century and was said to steal from the rich and give it to the poor, like Robinhood
While we know that Nivin Pauly plays the titular role of Kochunni and Amala Paul as his pair, the first looks of the pair in period costumes are out and has created a lot of buzz. Actress Priyanka from Bengaluru has also been roped in for a crucial role. Since all the characters needed certain looks, designers Dhanya and Ranjith are brought on board for special makeup and costumes. The movie, bankrolled by Sri Gokulam Movies, will be dubbed in other south Indian languages including Tamil.
