Dulquer Salmaan to star in a travel film
The flick will go on floors in December and will be shot in Tamil Nadu and North India.
Post the release of Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani, one can say that Dulquer Salmaan is surely one of the heartthrobs of Kollywood. Much to our disappointment, the actor hasn’t signed a Tamil movie in two years. Now that the actor has been roped in to play Gemini Ganesan in the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, he is back for good.
The Vaayai Moodi Pesavum actor has signed his fourth Tamil film, which will be helmed by debutant director Ra Karthik.
Speaking to DC about his maiden directorial, Karthik says, “I’ve been in talks with Dulquer for a while, and the project firmed up only now. It is a travel movie and we are in the process of finalising the four heroines for the flick. People have a misconception that if there are four heroines in a film, it would be a romantic one. But, I can vouch that my film will be unique and different in all possible ways. It will be a feel-good flick suitable for all age groups.”
Putting rest to the rumours about the untitled movie being made as a bilingual, the director reveals that it will be only in Tamil. “The pre-production has already begun and we will shoot in and around Tamil Nadu as well as in North India. We are planning to rope in known faces as the heroines,” he shares.
The technical team includes cinematographer George C Williams, award winning editor Sreekar Prasad and debutant composer Dheena Dhayalan.
