The actor appreciated the talented transwomen who sang and danced as part of the celebrations.
Vijay Sethupathi is known for his versatile acting and portrayal of different kinds of roles, which other actors fear to go near. He is also into supporting several causes and despite his busy schedules he allocates time for such things. The Vikram Vedha star was the chief invitee for the Grand Trans Fest -2017, organised by the transgenders in the city.
Essaying the role of a transgender Shilpa in his upcoming flick Super Deluxe, the actor shared that he could feel their pain of rejection from the society. Speaking at the event, he said, “Transgenders and women have to take freedom in their hands without waiting or expecting others to give it. They should get more jobs in the government sector. You are not children of God, but I see you as a form of God. One has to learn to love the fellowmen without discriminating with caste, creed and religion.”
The actor appreciated the talented transwomen who sang and danced as part of the celebrations. They also urged him to dance on stage, which he politely refused to do so, with a humourous note!
