An Independence Day single on unity
Kumar says he likes to work on indie albums since it gives him a lot of freedom to experiment.
Music composer Kumar Narayanan, who shot to fame with the Dhoni Anthem Dho Dho Dhoni, is once again in the news for his Independence Day anthem titled Taal Milaale Tu for which he has roped in veteran Mano to render the song along with Piyush and Shriram.
A three-minute song where Kumar has also lent his vocals, Uday Kumar, who wrote the dialogues for the Hindi version of Kabali, has penned the Hindi lyrics for Taal Milaale Tu. It means ‘come, join our rhythm’. We want every Indian citizen to join hands in unison and march on the new path holding our tricolour flag with pride. It has a strong message for the youth — stop brain drain, stay in this land, work towards its progress, and bring laurels to our nation. The song also calls for building smart cities and caressing our green pastures.”
Kumar says he likes to work on indie albums since it gives him a lot of freedom to experiment. “It is also an attempt to give an opportunity to new singers,” he says.
On making the single in Hindi, he says, “The language has a national appeal and that was a deliberate move.” The song, which was released on YouTube with suitable visuals, has been received well.
