Peipasi a film entirely shot in a departmental store
The cast predominantly consists of new comers like Hari Baskar, Namitha and Amirtha Iyer.
The first look poster of Peipasi looks intriguing, so does the film, when you hear the premise from the debutant director Shrinivas Kavinayam, who has worked with his friend Nalan Kumarasamy in co-writing a couple of films. Peipasi is one of the very few films around the world, which has been shot inside a departmental store, reveals the director.
“There are only handful of films like Mist, which is set inside a departmental store. And I heard there is a Chinese film set in a similar environment. I think other than that Peipasi is the only film with such a premise,” he begins.
“The first thing people ask me about the film is that how am I going to make it not boring since the camera doesn’t go outside at all. But it won’t bring yawns,” assures Shrinivas.
Talking about the genre, he says, “It will be a mixture of many genre including horror. There are three layers to it — one is the horror element and there is love, and some humour.”
The cast predominantly consists of new comers like Hari Baskar, Namitha and Amirtha Iyer. Karna, known for the film Soodhu Kavvum has played an important role in the film.
The other highlight of the film is the music, which has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Shrinivas says, “Yuvan’s BGM is going to sound very unique and different from his earlier works.”
