Kruthika forays into K'town

After an interesting debut playing actor Venkatesh’s daughter in Drushyam (Telugu version of Malayalam super-hit Drishyam), actress Kruthika Jayakumar is going places. The actress is set to foray into Tamil with actor Arya’s Sandhana Devan, a film which will have jallikattu as the main theme. She’s set to play a village girl in the film.

“Kruthika will play the female lead in the period drama. Director Ameer apparently felt she was perfect for the role. She gave a look test and was cast immediately,” shares a source, adding that she’ll begin shooting soon.

Interestingly, the film is being talked about a great deal ever since the first look featuring Arya was released, just when protests to legalise jalliakattu were happening in Tamil Nadu.
