Vijayalakshmi might have stopped her tryst with acting after the film Chennai 28 II, but her association with Tamil cinema still continues. “Viji writing poems is not a new thing. She has the habit of penning them down now and then. But she never planned to write lyrics for this film,” says Feroz, adding, he reveals, “We went with some leading lyricists, but nothing worked for me. That’s when she said she would try it. I was reluctant initially — however, RH Vikram and I liked them right away. The words feel in sync with the tunes.”
